Many friends keep saying that a gathering should be organized so everybody has the oportunity to show their hapiness getting rid of me.
I don't know what kind of meeting I should organize, and I don't know your availabilities! I was thinking in a student's like dinner (low budget style) and a few beers at Piolho.
The best dates to this are 9th or 10th October (Friday or Saturday), so if anyone really reads this, please say something and start talking to friends, the idea is to put the most people together, even though not everybody knows everybody so spread the word.
If people start showing interest on this, more details can be updated here, otherwise just drink a beer after I'm gone :)
Looking to hear something from someone somehow somewehere by some mean.

Alternative Course
The alternative course, which eliminates Madrid-Barcelona-Andorra and instead goes by, San Sebastián-Bordeuax-Paris-Amsterdam is presented.
This new version equals 2,769 km, which is less than the original one, but the cross by ferry in Netherlands is more expensive (the costs are about the same).
My idea is to spend the weekend in Amsterdam :) and arrive to Birmingham Sunday Night or Monday morning (there is a ferry that does a night trip of 9h between Netherlands and Ipswich).
The main goal here, is to know Paris (where we have free accommodation) and Amsterdam (where we just look to party a little) so 2days stay each city I think is OK.
I have to hear the opinions from who comes with me, and decide what option fit us better. I think leave at a wednesday, and arrive Monday morning is about OK.

Holidays
That's right,
One month until my trip around Europe, and some rest after the last exam of faculty ( mark will come out next week hopefully).
From now on I will try to do a check-up to my old and tired car, which with a little bit of luck and much effort will take us to the U.K. Some papers to sort out to, and just hang out with the friends that stays behind, England is just around the corner nowadays.
Course is being discussed about whether is worth it the detour to cross Barcelona, or on the other hand if we should go directly to Paris and try a little push to spend the weekend in Amsterdam. It really depends on budject and everybody's opinion.
I will try to put some photos of the "ride" we will use next time.

One last Bump in the road
Before leaving, I will need to do my (I hope) final exam at college. Wednesday at 5p.m is D-day.
After that I will start with details of the trip, asking around for accommodation in cities we will stop and stuffs like that.

Course Proposal
From now on I will keep this blog in English so every friend can follow it, and with luck it can help me improve my english (not likely).
For now we are thinking to follow the course presented in google maps. It equals around 2,941 km but or course it will be more, because we will try to visit here and there.
If anyone knows some friend or whatever around Barcelona who can provide us with a sleeping place and a shower, we would be very grateful and might have an extra Port Wine bottle waiting for that.
Same applies for Birmingham region ( Coventry, Warwick, Leamington Spa) please let me know if you can help
In Paris we have a place to stay, and we are in conversations to get some in London too.
The course will be done avoiding toll charge (student's life is the way it is) we save money and are able to enjoy some views I hope.
Everyone has their own suggestion about places to visit and place to not. This course is only temporary and I am open to discussion about it. I would really like to go to Barcelona, which is a major detour from the shortest way to get into UK from Portugal, but I think I won't excuse myself if I miss this chance to go there this time.
So, please expose your opinions and you can say bad things about the route, there are lots of places I wanted to go, but 3000KM in 3/4 days with my car is the best we can do.

FINALMENTE VÃO-SE VER LIVRES DE MIM!
Pois é,
Em meados do próximo mês inicio a minha viagem rumo a terras de nossa magestade!.
Vou fazer uma "road-trip" com o Marino entre Porto-Madrid-Barcelona-Andorra-Paris-Londres-Birmingham. Se mais alguém quiser vir connosco podemos ir até Antwerp-Amsterdam, mas só para dois torna-se cansativo e dispendioso.
Estarei cerca de 8meses fora portanto, comecem já a fazer peditórios para todas as festas e cervejas no piolho que vão ter que beber sem eu estar a chatear :D
vou tentar actualizar isto à medida que definir itinerários e datas.
O "boguinhas" da aventura será o meu Corsa de '94 com 212000KM actualmente :) como alguém diz a pergunta é Onde teremos problemas e não SE.
